small spaces - welcome

I have been using the boxes that petshops get their fish delivered in to grow my veges in. amazing results through the summer and still into the winter. although mine are positioned on the ground they are light enough to pick up and relocate. when the crop is done I pull the old plants toss them into an empty container and tip the soil in on top and start all over again, add a little blood and bone and plant up. the narrow type box that brocolli come in are great for herbs.
if the white colour of the box is a bit too stark, use a water based paint to colour the outside to suit. or wrap a cut down bamboo blind to the correct size and secure, the polystyrene keeps the roots cool in summer and warm in the winter. a great recycle idea.
