Having become more of a ‘set and forget' kind a gardener, bulbs often seem like too much work for too brief a reward. But if planted where they happily multiply on their own (my approach to choosing & positioning all plants) – and without going wild – then I concede a special joy brought by their flowering. The bonus with this white Nerine undulata is that it's no ‘harbinger of spring' but brings the joy to autumn.
