A distinctive lilly pilly in our range of screening natives but it might be goodbye for Acmena Goodbye Sunshine. It caught my eye at Alpine Nurseries but Craig there says the line has been discontinued due to lack of interest. Earlier called Waveline, maybe the yellow growth registers with people as sickly. The wavy, leathery leaves on red stems with striking yellow new tips remind me of South African leucadendrons.
