in your garden - welcome

Hi,

I am designing a garden at the moment and require a plant to be used to ceate a tunnel into another section of the garden. The space is quite small so i have estimated the chosen plant needs to be around 3-4m high with a spread of only about 1.5m.

I would prefer to use a native but this is not vital. I am trying to create a walk amongst the trees feeling, similar to one used at in the childrens garden at the royal botanical gardens in melbourne where they use a tea tree.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds atmospheric. The spread is tight but maybe some that could be kept within those bounds could be Acacia cognata 'Lime Magik', Acacia leprosa 'Scarlet Blaze', smaller Callistemon viminalis or training one of those tropical grevilleas like 'Moonlight', 'Honey Gem' & 'Flamingo'.

Thanks for the comment, i will look into those.
I have also looked at some of the leptospermums - 'white opal', 'outrageous', 'rudolph'?
as well as an acmena the 'green sheen' var which would need to be trimmed to shape.
